Day 1

Warmly welcome you to Bandaranayaka International Airport Travel to Negombo. Negombo city tour, Fish market, boat rides, Dutch Fort, and check-in at your hotel. Overnight stay in Negombo.

Negombo is very close to the Katunayaka International airport of Sri Lanka, it becomes the place for a traveler comes to Sri Lanka, before traveling around the country, they can have a nice relaxed time with lovely food, relaxation, sea plus hot sun and other entertainments like visiting the city, boat rides, Dutch Fort, Negombo Fish Market, etc.

Day 2 

After breakfast leave for Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, Take breakfast at Pinnawala. Following this, you will drive to Dambulla and check in at your hotel. Sightseeing the city and proceed to the Dambulla Cave temple. Overnight stay in Dambulla

Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage

Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is established in 1975 with five orphaned elephants in an area of 25 acres of land at Pinnawala. Pinnawala is notable for being the largest herd of captive elephants in the world. Nearly there were 90 elephants. The Orphanage which serves as a conservation and breeding center as well as a place of informal education on elephants and their conservation is a world-famous attraction due to its unique way of maintaining such a large free herd of jumbos. Around 9:15 a: m starts the feeding Baby Elephants and fruit feeding get their milk. The Elephants Parade to the river to Barth around at 10:00 a: m. 12.00 noon Head returns from the river. Following this, you will drive to Dambulla and check in at your hotel. Sightseeing the city and proceed to the Dambulla Cave temple.

Dambulla is a commercial town with Sri Lanka’s largest produce vegetable market and is most famous for the cave temple and also for the iconic golden temple. Dambulla heritage site with a history extending from prehistoric and proto-historic times, right down to the modern period, makes Sri Lanka’s heritage really splendorous, Sightseeing the city and proceeding to the Dambulla Cave temple. It is believed that when king VattaGamini was fleeing from his enemies in the 1st century BC.

Day 3

After breakfast, we start and climbing the Sigiriya lion rock. After Bullock cart Riding to see Sri Lanka real rural life and have Ayurveda massage. We drive to the Elephant riding place. You can decide to take a ride on an Elephant through the Jungle. After we proceed to Namal uyana. Overnight stay in Dambulla

Sigiriya (Lion’s rock)

Sigiriya (Lion’s rock) is a wonderful ancient palace built atop 660 feet high rock column. This wonderful rock castle is a creation of King Kassapa (477-495CE). He built his Palace on the top of this rock and decorated its sides with colorful frescoes. The painting woods have covered most of the western face of the rock. An area is 140 meters long and 40 meters high. There are references in the graffiti to 500 ladies in these paintings However, most have been lost forever. Sigiriya is one of the most attractive historical sites in Sri Lanka and it is most famous for its stunning frescoes. Sigiriya today is a UNESCO-listed world heritage site. Namal uyana

The Jathika Namal Uyana in Sri Lanka is the largest ironwood forest and pink quartz mountain in Asia. The Ironwood Tree is endemic to Sri Lanka and the replanted forest is over 260 acres in extent. According to archeological researchers’ findings, the pink quartz in this historical place has a history of more than 550 million years. Namal Uyana is an extremely rare forest replanted with Ironwood trees in the 8th Century AD commenced during the starting of King Devanampiyathissa and ended with king Dappula IV. Namal Uyana had been a sanctuary for Buddhist monks during King Devanampiyatissa’s reign in the 8th century.

After breakfast enjoy Hot air balloon, afternoon leave to jeep safari Minnariya national park, Overnight stay in Habarana

You board the balloon and the Chief Pilot will brief you on safety. Enjoy your one hour flight, floating serenely over stunning and breathtaking views of the countryside with only the occasional blasts of the burners to disturb the peace, Hot air ballooning tours are available from the north-central plains of the island and be carried away under blue skies and over the landscape dotted with many little man-made lakes, one might even spot an elephant near these tanks, ancient monuments. Flying over the jungle you may see elephants freely, water buffaloes standing in the paddy fields and monkeys swinging from the trees. 

The view of Sigiriya standing majestically in the distance is very visible with the rising of the sun. Village kids beneath the balloon trying to keep up with the chase on foot or bicycles and you could also spot our Chase Crew as they follow us to the landing site. After an exhilarating flight over the jungle, you will be welcomed on landing by friendly villagers who are happy to help pack away the balloon. After each flight, we commemorate the adventure with a Champagne Celebration.

Minneriya national park

Minneriya national park is another wildlife park located a few kilometers east of Habarana and dominated by the ancient Minneriya Wewa, a tank built in the 3rd century AD by King Mahasen. The national park is most known for elephants as it is home to hundreds of elephants and faunal species include 24 species of mammals, 160 species of birds, 9 species of amphibians, 25 species of reptiles, 26 species of fish, and 75 species of butterflies.

Day 5

After breakfast proceeds to the Kandy En-route, you will visit the aromatic Spice Garden, Nalanda Gedige, Matale Aluvihara Rock temple, and Matale Muttumariyamman Hindu kovil. Thereafter proceed to the beautiful and historical city, Kandy. You will really enjoy a Cultural Dance Program.  And Check in your hotel. Overnight stay in Kandy.

Spice Garden

Matale is situated in the central province in close proximity to Kandy. This area is very famous for its spice which is considered to be the best on the island. Gardens are open to visitors and its atmosphere is superb to stroll in fragrant greenery and learn more about the spices. The spice gardens attract tourists as well as locals who visit this area. These spices are used for culinary, cosmetic, and indigenous medicinal purposes. Entrances to these gardens are free and children could learn about the origin of spices and identify each spice by its individual fragrance.

Nalanda Gedige

Nalanda Gedige is considered one of the best gediges in Sri Lanka .A Gedige is a hollow structure with thick walls. This 8th –century gedige which lies on a raised ground in paddy fields, picturesquely surrounded by low hills and wooded hamlets, is comprised of a mandapa, an entrance hall, a short passage to a bare cello, and an ambulatory. Finely decorated faced sections and mandapa seem to be of South Indian style. However, there are no signs of Hindu deities in gedige which is said to have been used by Buddhists.

Matale Aluvihara

Matale offers you several attractions from heritage sites to natural attractions. Matale Aluvihara Rock temple is the place where Buddhist monks wrote the Buddhist scriptures (Tripitakas) in Pali on Ola leaves. There is an influx of tourists both home and abroad flocking to this historic temple.

Matale Muttumariyamman Hindu kovil

Matale Muttumariyamman Hindu kovil, Muthumariamman Temple or Arulmigu Sri Muthumari Amman Kovil is a temple in Matale, Sri Lanka. The prefix “Muthu, literally means “pearl”. “Mari” means rain and “Amman” means mother. On completion proceed to a historic sacred city in Kandy.

Day 6

After breakfast visits the temple of tooth relic, if you need shopping, Kandy is one of the best places to buy gems, Handicrafts, silk act. And proceed to Peradeniya Botanical garden, after driving around the mountains, viewing endless tea plantations and Ramboda waterfalls, brings you to Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka’s “Little England” where time seems to have stood still since the days of the British occupation. On the way to Nuwara Eliya, you will visit a typical Tea Factory & enjoy a cup of tea. Following this, you check in to your hotel. After that, you will enjoy a City Tour of Nuwara Eliya. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.

Nuwara-Eliya is one of the cities that lie at the highest altitude of Sri Lanka and is popular as a paradise holiday destination. Located in the central hills, 180km away from Colombo; Nuwara Eliya is a classic example of the climate diversity of Sri Lanka. It is also a city where the influence of Colonial architecture is visible. Covered and cornered from three of the highest mountains of the country is Piduruthalagala, the Great Western & Haggala, it becomes a paradise of its own isolating itself from other bustling cities and towns. However, it offers many activities for tourists such as hiking, pony riding, boating, golfing, visits to the tea plantations, and the lovely landscapes & parks.

Wake up early morning at 0500 am drive to Horton plains, after proceed St. Clair Water Fall, Mackwood Museum after visit city tour in Nuwara Eliya. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya

Horton plains

Horton plains are the only National Park that is based in the hill country. It is the best escapade for nature & adventure lovers. Beautiful grassy land provides stay to many wild animals such as Leopard, Samber, and the endemic Purple-faced Languor. Endemic highland birds include Dull-blue Flycatcher, Sri Lanka white-eye, and Yellow-eared Bulbul. All travelers enjoy their travel by visiting ‘World’s End ‘where ‘Horton Plains’ suddenly stops with a steep of 1050 meters as if the whole world ends there. Misty surrounding makes it so real.

St. Clair Water Fall

St. Clair waterfall is one of the widest waterfalls in Sri Lanka located in the hill capital of Sri Lanka, Nuwara Eliya. It is known as the ‘Little Niagara of Sri Lanka’ or ‘King of waterfalls’. The fall flows over a rock ledge and divides into three cascades eventually into the pool making a prevalent misty out the view. This place is located in proximity to Thalawakake Town and it is truly magnificent views. Spending time in here a few hours will heal the mind and soul of the visitors. A great place to observe the tea plantation history in Sri Lanka from a wider angle. The tea museum presents the great tea plantation era since the colonial era of Sri Lanka. A great place to grab more knowledge as well as purchase quality tea products from here. Museums demonstrate all thins well and explain very well it is something that never missed. It was originally founded by Captain William Mackwood in 1841 during the inception of tea estates in Sri Lanka and is the second oldest mercantile firm in the country. The company remained with the Mackwoods family until 1956 when it was passed on to Mr. N.S.O. Mendis, a visionary Sri Lankan entrepreneur. Mackwoods then experienced exponential growth as a brand.

Haggala Botanical Garden                                          

Haggala Botanical Garden – Superb destination in Nuwara Eliya where find heaven well-planned garden with the landscape. The history of the botanical garden goes up to King Rawana’s era. Rose Garden, Rock Garden, and Water Garden are the most attractive places in the garden. Spending time here makes more tranquility for visitors. The best time to visit here is April to August. A place with breathtaking views, it was established under the curatorship of three Britishers. It is a beautiful experience to have when you visit the Nuwara-Eliya range of Haggala. The garden has an It is located is 5,400 feet above sea level. It to be the highest set botanical garden in the world. There are over 10,000 species of flora planted here and during the spring season in Nuwara Eliya thousands of visitors come to see the blooms here. The numbers of annual visitors are around 500,000. After breakfast leaves for Hikkaduwa via ginigathhena and proceeds to Kitulgala. Lunch at kitulgala, getting famous film for white water rafting in the Kelani River. After that, we proceed to the most popular tourist destination Hikkaduwa in Sri Lanka.  you can enjoy & relax on the beach.

Kitulgala is a Rain Forest patch that attracts many residents and foreign tourists for its natural beauty. The Academy Award-winning movie The Bridge on the River Kwai was filmed on the Kelani River near Kitulgala, although nothing remains now except the concrete foundations for the bridge Kitulgala is the base for white-water rafting in Sri Lanka, but there are myriad of leisure and adventure activities that can be done in Kutulgala.

Hikkaduwa

Hikkaduwa is a small coastal town in the south situated 99 km south of Colombo a. Well-known for its beach, the subaqueous world of coral gardens with shoals of brightly colored fish, and nightlife, Hikkaduwa is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Sri Lanka the coral sanctuary replete with colorful fish quite fascinating and you can explore these fantasies in a glass-bottomed boat or by diving. This is also a better place for sunbathing, snorkeling, board-surfing, and many other pastimes. One of the great attractions among worldwide travelers. After breakfast Enjoy a glass-bottomed boat, Scuba diving and snorkeling, turtle hactury, after that we visit the Koggala lake tour and Galle Fort. After we back to the hotel.

Galle Fort

En route to hikkaduwa we visit Galle Fort. The port of Galle is a centuries-old historic port in Sri Lanka. The history of Galle dates back 14th century, it was the ancient seaport of Tar shish and King Solomon used it to draw valuables like elephants, peacocks, gemstones. Persians, Arabs, Greeks, Romans, Malays, Indians, and Chinese have also used the Galle seaport for their business activities during the 14th century. The Galle seaport has played a pivotal role in the exportation of spices especially cinnamon from Sri Lanka in early 1400 BC. In 1505   Portuguese navigators arrived in Galle Port 1505 with Lourenco de Almeida and the Dutch arrived in Galle in 1640.

Galle Fort is covering 52 hectares of land is one of the busiest places in Galle with a multi-ethnic population living within its walls. Walk around the old town and the ramparts; visit the Maritime Museum, Country Side Temple, Antique shops, Country Side Mosque, and the many hotels and restaurants around. Enjoy the beautiful view of the Indian Ocean over the fort walls.
